The best part of The Predator is that it is directed by a guy who had throwaway dialog in the original movie.

  2. Predator 2 doesn't work nearly as well as it should imho

Sorry for triple-posting, but the queer doc on Shudder about Nightmare on Elm Street 2 looks excellent

is it a doc specifically on 2? Cuz Never Sleep Again covers the queer themes in the movie

It’s about Mike Patton’s experience while filming.

I remember back when it was being crowdfunded. I’m excited.

This season of the last drive in seems so random but maybe I'm just chapped at having to watch Cannibal Holocaust with the animal mutilation scenes

  12. It is! It's called Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street.
The Last Drive In has been a pretty big source of tension for me. It's hard to excuse his social/political views while also recognizing the show as one of my favorite/most formative when it comes to films I likely would have never seen otherwise.

Has anyone seen Disappearance at Clifton Hill?

Watched Just Before Dawn recently and for a movie with bad killers and boring kills I still really enjoyed it. The acting was good and it had some really cool shots.

About to throw on Southbound while I'm working, don't know anything about it, but it looks like a fun anthology and a good summer horror vibe.

Any recs on shitty late 90s, early 00s movies that are currently streaming?

Did anyone watch Blood Machines on shudder? Bloody Disgusting’s review has me intrigued. Writer was all about it

  16. It was okay. The score and visuals are worth it alone, even if I didn't love it. It's only a 50-minute watch.

Watched Devil's Mile last night. I give it 3.6 roentgen. Not great, not terrible.

Quick watch for sure. I agree with you that the visuals and score alone are well worth the time. I thought it was a pretty solid addition to the wave of feminist genre films. Obviously sci-fi and not horror. I enjoyed it.

And so far no one calling them out on Twitter for discrimination like every other company/brand did the other day. Could it be, a legit real company??

  21. Without any real spoilers, which one is better?

    Society vs Parents

I can’t decide which one to watch first

  22. Never seen Parents but Society is wild!

I didn’t like it when I saw it last year, but enjoyed it significantly more upon rewatch!
