Found this creepy looking tree at a picnic area. Kinda reminded me of the woods in The VVitch or The Nightingale.

I love the remake; it’s probably one of my favorite horror movies. It didn’t get nearly enough praise when it first came out. The foreshadowing is incredible, the writing is really tight, and the atmosphere is some of the best. Such a great film. And that ending...

  7. It's not really horror, but I watch Eyes Wide Shut for the first time last night and I am largely unsettled/can't stop thinking about it.

Yo, Jacob’s Ladder was awesome. Love that some of the most disturbing stuff I’ve seen this year is first watches of movies from the 80s/90s (other one being Hellraiser) — love that films that old can still have an effect.

Also, recently watched Wicker Man, which was kind of a letdown. Saw Midnight Meat Train too, that should’ve laid way more into the supernatural element.

Jacob’s Ladder is incredible, but “films that old” meaning 80s and 90s just spontaneously turned me into a pile of dust.

Haha, it’s true for me too, just never saw them back then and didn’t get into horror until later on in life.

Yeah I watched The Baby yesterday and while I certainly didn’t hate it by any means, I still felt kinda let down based on what I had read about it. Might do Season tonight.

Jacob’s Ladder is so so good and I love that it became such an influence on the original Silent Hill games. Some truly striking imagery in that movie.

Highly recommend Seconds too, hits that paranoia/psychological horror vibe as well.

For a half second I thought/hoped you were talking the reboot that is out there. Haven’t seen it or heard a word about it.

but I do agree, Jacob’s Ladder and Hellraiser are both wild films.
