i only recently got shudder and watched Summer of ‘84 not really knowing anything about it

holy shit

 

Was bored last night and decided to watch Hell Fest. So fucking bad. The premise seemed slightly cool, but damn, it was just awful.

 

Okayyy darkness falls was one of my FAVES because it scared the crap out of me when I was younger
Same with Dead silence lmao


Also I watched Terrifier. It was deff edge of your seat imo like slashers normally are. Tooootally agree that it was a picture of hating women. But I honestly feel that most b-rated horror is

 

Bloodfest is similar and at least tries to be fun.

 

Terrifier was...yeesh.

On some level, it fascinated me. It oscillated between bad storytelling and characters with absolutely zero depth, but also managed to subvert expectations successfully (imo) multiple times. Obviously enjoyed the practical effects, and I have a relatively high threshold for that sort of thing, so I'm impressed with how much it actually shocked the senses. Totally committed to being relentlessly mean and disgusting, for better or for worse. It's not good filmmaking, but maybe that's part of the point?

 

Totally forgot about the movie Nightmares but I only remember the Emilio Estevez segment

Why is this not on Scream Factory with special features!!!!

I will say that the artwork is doper than anything else it could've been on SF, tho

 

Apostle was interesting. I was watching with my sister whom I hadn’t seen in a while so we were half watching. I think I’ll need to re watch at night.

I personally love the Scream TV show, I know some people hate it though

 

I love it too, can't wait for them to finally figure out what to do with the next session

 

Watched a film called Deadly Detention last night and it was so bad, I don't know why I watched it to the end

Just wasn't enjoying it, got 2 or 3 episodes in. Should probably give it another go, as Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis are both great

 

I totally agree there should be more. Also I loved Slasher so I’m glad you like it haha
I think there are others though or at least similar. I know I have some “horror” series on my list so I think at least one of them has to have that...right?!

Is there going to be another season? Loved the first two, but can’t remember hearing anything about the show for a long while now.
