i may get better but we won't ever get well Prestigious

it's got enough splatter elements i'd classify it as body/exploitation horror for sure, with comedic elements

I loved Kuso. I would definitely consider it horror, not all the way through but I feel once something has really strong horror parts it becomes horror lol. It's sort of like.. swiss army man meets enter the void/a serbian film. the animated sequences make it worth watching alone, and there is some pretty decent stuff in between. It is super gross though, if you're afraid of certain parts of the human anatomy/biology, warts/boils, and very graphic and grotesque depictions of sex I would probably avoid this unless you want to face your fears, which is sort of the point of the movie.

Also the music/sound design is incredible, I feel like that goes without saying. I watched it with headphones and said "wow" out loud at one point

also got me hooked on The Buttress because the music video clip in this sounds INSANE

  5. That movie is nutssssss right?!

The Visit was p good. I knew going into it there was allegedly a lot of humor. Some of it worked, and most of it fell flat.

Though both the actors who played the grandparents did a wonderful job.

Probably the best Shamalan I've seen since Signs. Now I need to check out Split.

Also saw Krampus finally the other day. I really liked parts of it. The fact it was almost ALL practical effects was a breath of fresh air for a horror movie like that. My biggest gripe though being the ending(so like they all died, but it was a dream?), and the design of Krampus when they show his face. I would have been more terrified if he had been like a goat demon the way he is usually portrayed.

I don't think I've ever met a person who hadn't seen Scream before. Why the 20 year wait?

  11. I have no good reason. I just never even thought about actually watching it... haha. I hear the second one is just as good. Is that true?? I've also never seen I Know What You Did Last Summer. Not sure if that one is as popular, but it comes to mind when I think of Scream.

I prefer Scream 2 to the original, but it's not a popular opinion.
Saw IKWYDLS 3 times in the theater back in '97 but revisited the film recently and was completely bored with it

    Doing fine. Prestigious

Scream 2 is great. The sequels fall off from there, but it's worth watching all of them imo. IKWYDLS was pretty good. It jumped on the slasher train to try to ride the success of Scream. Wasn't meta at all tho. Characters are pretty weak aside from Sarah Michelle Gellar's. Another one that's at least worth the watch.

i mean, apparently it's just a black screen with a few dialogue snippets

  17. Ya I saw the teaser in front of my showing of Dunkirk. Very ominous, but no visuals.
