She was literally the first person I interviewed for the Fest ever back in 2023 and she told us all about it. Hadn't even started shooting yet. It's been so cool to see this come to fruition. She was still waiting on final funding at that point.

I only know about that film due to RLM. Like their vhs copy just went straight into the scene. No ads or anything.

That scene aside, I did end up enjoying Nail Gun Massacre. Fun kills and hilarious one liners

 

Between Promising Young Woman being pretty underwhelming and Sorry Baby being actually very good I think I've had enough on the subject and iirc those don't even portray them on screen. If something started with that and I wasn't expecting it I think I'd have turned it off. I hear Revenge is good, I don't think I have the stomach to check it out tho

God that scene in Justine’s car at the end of the first chapter is so good.

 

Night of the Reaper is out on Shudder today, seems to be getting pretty good reviews. Have not seen Z or Superhost, so not sure what to expect from that director.

I also ordered the new Chris LaMartina Halloween super mix - basically one of those 90-minute retro Halloween comps on Youtube I think, but I trust his judgement. This one comes with a Halloween mix CD, another zine, and a mystery grab-bag horror DVD. Anyone in here order one of the earlier ones he put out?

 

Ugh, Demon Wind was taken off Shudder so I'm watching Carved instead. The first 25 minutes was so fun, but I wish more happened - kind of dragging since then. The Halloween vibes are solid, at least.

Definitely not opposed to Tubi, just have to alot myself more time when there's ads lol. (I don't know if Tubi will let you resume viewing on something if I don't finish it in one sitting? I don't think it used to)

Lol I was supposed to see evil puddle today and I left at the last minute forgetting what it means to drive into salem this time of year, and not only that, but it’s the salem food truck festival so roads were closed. I would’ve made it just ten minutes late but all the roads to the parking lot behind the theater were closed so I just wasted well over an hour to turn around and go home lol. Guess my big Saturday activity will just be grocery shopping.
