  1. Days is a 5/5 and Weeks is a 4/5. Very strong stuff. Excited for the new one!

yeah i just kind of assumed Weeks was like, straight to video sequel quality but it was solid

i started Days on Tubi or Pluto or some service, thought it looked bad, so paid 3.99 to rent on apple because it said "HD" and then it looked the same lol

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Weeks has some shaky writing but it's generally well done and pretty intense. swapping Robert Carlyle for Jeremy Renner as the male lead gotta be one of the biggest downgrades in cinema history lol

    Watching Clown in a Cornfield.

Also, starting to flesh out a story that I eventually want to turn into a screenplay. Gonna need @Aaron Mook’s feedback eventually.

Watched Anaconda. Snakes in snake movies need to be bigger!

  13. Currently rewatching Halloween (2007). Definitely prefer this one to Zombie's sequel if only for nostalgia's sake, but I really cannot express enough how much I prefer my Halloween characters not saying slurs and threatening to "skullfuck" each other every five minutes lol

Haha, I feel this so hard. Wanted to rewatch both of them a few years ago (I actually remember liking the sequel) but I bailed after the first “skullfuck” like five minutes in and decided I’d just not.

  15. There's other stuff I like - the soundtrack is pretty great and I actually don't mind the part that most Halloween fans hate, which is the young Michael Myers/origin story stuff (that child actor is pretty good), but Zombie's dialogue just takes me soooo out of it haha. Very edgy 14-year-old stuff (which is probably why I liked it then)

just to be fair, I still really love House of 1000 Corpses!

  16. Finally saw Bloodlines, so fucking good. Easily my favorite

  17. I think my only gripe with Bloodlines is the tattoo shop fakeout they used as a trailer

  18. you didn't like the fact that it was a fakeout or the scene itself?

  19. mostly that it was a fakeout combined with the fact that i'd seen it in its entirety as a trailer previously but it is one of the few scenes in the series that got me feeling squeamish

28 Years Later was good! Some beautiful shots throughout. Think I like it more than Weeks. Don’t think I’m crazy about the ending though

Should I wait another week to see Years so I can rewatch Days and Weeks or does it not really matter?

I don’t think it references anything from the previous films so you might be fine

I've seen them both but it's been ages. Definitely want to rewatch them, but trying to squeeze something in tonight on my last A-List spot for the week.

This is why I don't watch trailers, I had no idea.

Was kind of a weird fakeout, but paired with the next scene I think they earned it
