Love it. Something like "Watch a horror movie with a slasher that uses an interesting choice of weapon(s) ( i.e. something other than a knife, machete, or chainsaw)
Here's what we have so far: 1. Ohthewater - Murderdrone or Murderdrone- adjacent film. Murderdrone is defined as a film “wherein 90% of the movie is people wandering around and getting murdered set to shitty lo-fi bedroom synths and it's increasingly hard to pay attention but you can't look away and you're stuck in a murdertrance” 2. Daniel - Death Harvest - Watch a horror movie that features either a pumpkin head or scarecrow. (Any movie that features a scarecrow or a monster or ghoulie with a pumpkin for a head, someone wearing a jack-o-lantern mask, or a movie where at some point a pumpkin is on someone's head.) 3. Aaron Mook - The Last Drive-In - Watch a movie shown by The Last Drive-In that you haven't seen before. If you opt to watch a movie without The Last Drive-In segments or a movie you've already seen before, pick two movies instead of one. 4. Ghosteaway - watch a film with an animal protagonist in it (must have a major role in the film 5. Contender - 6. Wisdomfordebris - 7. Xkaylinh - a film featuring an actress who turns 30 this year (ie born in 1995) 8. Riotspray - a body horror film that uses primarily practical effects 9. Estebanwaseaten - Cult Classic - Pick a cult! Any cult! Watch a movie about a cult that you have not previously seen. 10. Texas Flood - 11. Rowan5215 - 12. iCarly Rae Jepsen - In Your Flop Era - What's your favorite horror movie that was critically/commercially unsuccessful but you love it. I know Rotten Tomatoes is flawed but ideally under a 50 on Rotten Tomatoes 13. Angrycandy - slashers with interesting choices of weapon(s)
This…is my BOOMTRICK! Watch a horror movie that is a rip-off of a successful one (whether out of love or mere capitalism), or one that simply capitalizes on the success of another in some way. Examples: Bloody Muscle Body Builder In Hell Ghosthouse Urban Legend Zombi 2 Dolly Dearest If people aren’t into this idea, let’s go with folk horror, which was my first thought, but this sounded more fun.
idk just make it vague yet also weirdly specific "watch a horror movie starring Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi"
Heyyy I thought Locked was pretty damn good! Hopkins was hammin’ it up, but it kept me fully engaged!
Yeah that rocked. Fun as hell, good gore. Dumb as shit. Let Chris Landon keep making whatever he wants
Josh Ruben directed it! I know because he's the one I'm working on bringing in to show Heart Eyes at our Fest!
I was under the impression Christopher Landon directed Heart Eyes as well and it’s why I hadn’t bothered with it. Might throw it on sometime soon in that case!
Oh yeah I think I avoided that one bc it's Spyglass and there was a lot of Scream drama going on at the time
Ending up canceling my tickets to Hell House. Reviews are not great and seems like I would have to watch the 3rd/4th movies to understand a lot of the plot. Based on everything I’ve heard about those movies I have zero desire to see them. This is rather disappointing given how awesome Orgins was and they should have just stuck with the found footage formula.
