Huh, I always thought a breakout success was just a sudden success, but a few sites have the added context that it's after a long period of little or no success. You don't have to just be starting out to be a breakout success. Didn't know that part of the definition. You learn something new everyday

 

Happy Friday the 13th thread, I am going with Jason Lives tonight

 

I had plans but I don’t feel sociable so I’m canceling and instead will also be watching a Friday the 13th - maybe the one with Corey Feldman since I haven’t seen it before - and playing Final Girl.

 

The Final Chapter is my favorite of the franchise!

 

FYI, June 13 was Jason's birthday too

I started The Head and it was very funny but I decided I needed something nice so I switched to the animated show Hilda and I am loving it.

 

I am watching the Norwegian Drillbit Massacre. Teen-made splatter flick with no plot. Pure gore and pure vibes, baby. One of those inspirational ones

This is incredible lol. I don’t know how this much money was put into something that disappeared for 30 years. Almost turns into a slasher in the back half. Well made, sleazy as fuck, made me lol almost as much as Friendship (complimentary to both). 10000% recommend if you’re having people over for some beers and a bad movie. In the canon with Hard Ticket to Hawaii or Miami Connection

 

Pleased to report 28 Days Later is still a five-star flick. The handheld stuff takes some getting used to but matches how visceral and jittery the action is
