    This also made me mad

  2. Her reaction to the replies she gets for that are so braindead that I can’t even be mad at the opinion. It makes all of the discourse about opinions and film discussion that happened here a few days ago look like a big group hug lol. Amazing how toxicity on this board immediately feels like a non-issue the second you try to have a conversation anywhere else online

Has anyone seen Excision (2012) or Siren (2016)? Are they good? Are either of them particularly upsetting?

I put them back, maybe next time. I did get Mandy, which I'd started but never finished

  8. i didnt watch this but i did watch secret of sulphur springs and that got canceled after only a few seasons as well. idk how popular that was but just in general i hate this trend of streamers canceling shows within the first 1-3 seasons. shorter seasons with longer time in between and not as much job security for those working on them with everything getting canceled so quickly

plus some series take a bit to find their footing, i feel bad for the creators for getting their dream/project cut short

My kids liked Goosebumps but I would have rather they just did stand alone episodes for the classic books. The season long arcs might not have been best?

It was also very clearly made to appeal to current high school students, so some younger kids lost out and it was a bit lacking for adults

I really love Excision but some people might find it upsetting, idk I'm not the best at forseeing that stuff honestly.

  13. Yep. Some really beautiful shots in that one.

  14. I would prefer standalone episodes as well, but current streaming practices definitely prefer anything longform/bingeable

Checking out Halloween 6: Producers Cut! This is still super disjointed and, at parts, laughable.. but SO much better than the theatrical cut. It drops all the grungy 90s guitar score bullshit lol. Paul Rudd is so bad and sympathetic as Tommy in this.. I just wanna hug the guy.

Halloween 6 Producer’s Cut was something else. Onto H20. Love me some “Scream: The Myers Edition,” vibes.

    Triple post, nbd.

Looking for early 2000s B-horror recs. I’m sure they’re problematic as fuck, but I’m thinking stuff like Terror Toons and Killjoy. Doing an outdoor projector night with some friends this weekend.. we’re all bringing stuff to the table to vote on.

    Slither is a good pick.

I haven’t seen it, but people seem to think the 2005 version of House of Wax is really fun.

I love all of these. Slither is a great choice. It’s been a minute.
