We're heading into the best time of year for this thread and I think it was a good discussion to have.

With that said, another shameless plug for a good community-building activity and a last call to join us for Gore-Us this year. I want to start collecting categories next week and start the first Friday in September if that's cool with everyone. That will give us an additional week and a half than we've had before.

It was a good post and I'm glad Rowan made it. This thread is a good place.

 

I’m watching night game and while the script is bad it looks better and is made with more care than 80% of movies made today.

I kinda liked it until the third act. It has a cool concept and some spooky visuals, but not a great movie overall.

It's on HBO right now and I came to the entertainment section specifically to post in the thread but a quick search didn't turn up an actual Final Destination Bloodlines thread which I'm kinda surprised about, but maybe I just spelled it wrong and moved to this thread to quick etc etc i digress

Anyway literally came to make near the exact comment you made about the opening and Ghost Ship lol. When the scene ended my first thought was literally "I haven't seen an opening scene that gnarly since Ghost Ship"

 

I’m seeing Ghost Ship (and The Fog) on a haunted ship in a few weeks. I haven’t seen Ghost Ship since probably middle school but I have of course never forgotten that opening scene and I’m kind of excited to watch it again. I do hope I don’t get split in two.

 

I was gonna post a gif from the movie that wasn't the opening scene but I didn't want to spoil anything for you in case you forgot any of the beats/twists lol

Not watching that remake, but yeah the rest are top 10 for me and just posted. Might switch Companion over Together, could rewatch both.
