I haven't watched the new Scary Movie, they've never been my thing really, but I'm always here for some Scream 7 shade!
Still have Scary Movie 6 on my shortlist even though I'm expecting for the worst and hoping for the best. Did a bit of a 90s romantic comedy/coming of age pivot this week (Punch Drunk Love, Ghost World, watching Defending Your Life tonight) but we're doing another movie night with friends tomorrow and I'm thinking it will be Tremors, Return of the Living Dead, or Suspiria (1977). Slowly converting some horror non-believers after they unexpectedly enjoyed Obsession.
Been watching them on eBay for a couple years (I really wanted one for my annual Halloween party) but the prices always seemed so ridiculous ($175+). Then this popped up for $50 bucks and happened to be right down the street from me. It all worked out!
It just gets better with each watch. I know people have story complaints but the effects are so sick that on this last watch, I truly just did not care lol
second viewing of Obsession tonight. had even more fun than my first viewing, but it also solidified my opinion that while it's a really great time, i don't think i have the same love for it that other people have, and that's perfectly okay. i am really glad it's gotten the praise it has, and it is one of the better films i've seen this year, but i also don't know if i can say i "loved" it, y'know?
