I know this has no bearing on (lol) the film itself but like I think it's pretty cool that Inde is Mexican and Megan is Chinese
We are screening The Old Dark House for Pride Month at a new venue just a couple of weeks after A Bucket of Blood (which is next Saturday) :) sorry if I keep annoying the thread with these updates but I'm very excited.
I just want to say I love your posts about your screenings. It’s inspiring and I’m always so glad to see that you’re doing something that you’re passionate about and that will likely inspire others as well. That’s not annoying, that’s special and important.
This is extremely kind of you and I really appreciate it. It means a lot to me too. Earlier this week, I got a message from someone in California who used to live in Erie and saw my post about screening A Bucket of Blood. She said Dick Miller and his wife were her family's neighbors and they got to meet many times before they passed. She also met Roger Corman, who visited Dick a lot. She said both would be thrilled that I was screening A Bucket of Blood for a new audience and that her family watched it with Dick's granddaughter every Halloween. The message honestly made me tear up a bit because I just love movies so much and all I want to do is share them with people. I'm so lucky that there's an audience willing to take me up on that. It's a small world, and that message made me feel like I was doing something valuable.
https://bloody-disgusting.com/books...emakes-new-book-spotlights-15-unmade-remakes/ Slash of the Titans and Taking Shape II are awesome, can't wait to snag a copy of this edit: since the link didn't fix itself...it's a new book about unmade Universal Monster remakes from Carpenter, Romero, and more
Aaron should make a Madman Mook Horror Themed Cook Book, where if you took a look it would have you shook
i was just thinking how impossible it feels to try to rank my top horror films this year so far and Jane's movie hasn't even come out yet. top five, in no particular order: Obsession Mother Mary The Bride! Forbidden Fruits Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (i'm sure a couple of these are unpopular but i love them and it's my list so) the rest of the top 10, again in no particular order: Hokum Over Your Dead Body Exit 8 Send Help 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple 11. Alpha (Ducournau) 12. They Will Kill You 13. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die 14. Cold Storage 15. Whistle
1. Obsession 2. Forbidden Fruits 3. Hokum 4. Over Your Dead Body 5. Leviticus 6. Bone Temple 7. Send Help 8. Ready or Not 2 9. Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die 10. Faces of Death Feels like I'm missing out on some, guess it's only halfway through the year
I missed out on Faces of Death and Undertone but I'm a bit more disappointed that I missed Slanted, that sounded really fun despite having mixed reviews
