i watched They Will Kill You lastnight. it was zanier than i expected, but it was a lot of fun. not great, but definitely fun enough.
definitely seems like it’s gonna be its own thing for the most part but it’ll be cool to see easter eggs for the games
Just me or is the passenger trailer kind of sick? the ice cream man teaser also goes harder than I’d expect albeit in a different way haha
I’m really psyched for passenger actually. The teaser they were showing for a bit before the trailer dropped always got me with the jump scare lmao
Some really excellent scares in Hokum with one that I’m worried is going to fuck with me in bed tonight lol
if it was around the middle of the movie , god DAMMIT one got me so bad. Didn’t see it coming, got full body chills. enjoyed the movie overall but there may be 1 or 2 too many plots going on ? Not quite what i expected
Sounds like that’s probably the one - with the creature/“Jack”? And yeah, like the last two Damian McCarthy movies, the storytelling is easily the weakest point (was also frustrated by the use of flashbacks in the first half as well as some other elements) but it was the least bothersome of the three so as a whole I think it is his best or at least the one that worked the best for me. I had a pretty good time.
The person two seats from me was having a rough time with it. At one point they screamed and jumped and their bag of popcorn flew off their lap and they didn’t even laugh about it :(
the one that got me was the mom’s ghost suddenly appearing behind him when he’s walking across the room
Ohhh yeah that was a really good one too. I think that’s the only one that made me jump whereas the one I mentioned was just…scary.
I wanna see it but I’m worried the thing that other people have mentioned will ruin the whole thing for me.
Yeah it's offhanded and definitely out of place, but it passes pretty quickly as more of a wtf moment. But for sure still exercise caution and it's better to know about it going in.
