I am, like...shocked and devastated by May. Very good, incredibly lonely and sad film. I know it has a cult following of sorts, but I'm surprised it's not brought up even more tbh. That final scene is going to stay with me for a long time.
Despite being her least horror-y work, Alpha is Ducournau's most challenging film yet. I wasn't surprised to find after watching that a lot of the reviews are negative. The film worked for me more than it didn't, but the opposite seems to be the case for most people.
The series is better than Bordello of Blood, which is definitely worse than Demon Knight, but I also kind of love it lol. First 4-5 seasons of the TV show rip.
How does it compare to something like Tales from the Darkside? That's kind of what I'm imagining overall, even if it more directly gives Creepshow energy
I personally enjoy it quite a bit more as the vibe is campier and more distinct, plus you get the Crypt Keeper, but it's definitely a good reference point
I have like 30 minutes to decide between Forbidden Fruits or The Drama (or just stay home and learn a board game)
i don’t know who to trust but I’m leaning forbidden fruits even though I’m far more confident I’ll like the drama because forbidden fruits is way less crowded and I also don’t know if I feel like using my brain at all
