That's probably what I'll do, too. I don't think I've ever paid $60+ on a single RE game; i got most of them in one bundle.
Again, keep in mind I've never played the games, but if I appreciate anything about Resident Evil: Apocalypse, it's the movie's commitment to dumb video game shit. Having a literal monster called Nemesis that could probably tear people apart instead lumber around with a rocket launcher and a gatling gun is hilariously dumb, and dope lol
They’ll either nail it or really fuck it up. I’m just hoping there’s a big swing in the middle that no one sees coming.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse was...fun, but not good, lol. Kind of just made me want to watch Land of the Dead. Extinction pretty much immediately looks better, has better practical effects, and is immediately more interesting, even if it feels like a clear pastiche of Day of the Dead and Mad Max.
Pretty horrible evening unfortunately, so I reached for some comfort watches. My Bloody Valentine (OG) and Carnival of Souls.
Has anyone done many of the Adult Swim Infomercials? I feel like most people are aware of Too Many Cooks and Casper Kelly has been mentioned in here many times, but anyone dabbled in the rest of them? I am working my way through them and the Alan Resnick ones are pretty unsettling and creepy. I had previously seen Unedited Footage of a Bear but Live Forever As You Are Now and This House Has People In It are both wild
This House Has People in It is fucking crazy. I should rewatch that one. Otherwise, I think I've just seen Too Many Cooks and Unedited Footage of a Bear.
I wish I had seen House Has People much earlier and accessed the in world website that they flash at the end. Apparently there was like 2 hours worth of content on that URL that you could dig into that fleshed out a backstory dealing in the occult and the family members
Cold Storage looks fun, wasn’t playing near us so we saw Good Luck Have Fun Dont Doe which isn’t horror but still a good time.
NGL, pretty disappointed to find out the new Faces of Death movie is in fact not like the original movies but a meta slasher movie. Didn’t really pay attention to it much before but I just saw the new trailer and yeesh, what a bummer. I have a fondness for the originals (skipped prom one year and watched them all one night in high school) so I was hoping this would’ve been more like that. A proper new FoD movie could touch on how we’ve become rather unfortunately desensitized by death through technology and people worth their salt could make some rather impressive fake deaths using like smartphones and what not.
