Heretic still rips, my mum is usually on her phone for half the movies I show her but she was glued to the screen this one
We saw it in theatres and didn’t know a ton going in; loved how quickly it started getting crazy and the GASP in the theatre when -that scene- happened was awesome.
I realized after reading this that I'm an idiot and read that as Hereditary; I was referring to the tree.
finally watched Cuckoo tonight, kinda funny after being really excited by the initial trailers and then completely forgetting about the movie for like 2 years I had no expectations at all actually enjoyed it as a weird sci-fi thriller but can see why people were disappointed that it's not really scary apart from that one bike scene that was in the trailers anyway. I just always get misty with that found family/sister dynamic idk
Cuckoo is the right side of weird for me. It doesn't all quite add up, and it may jump the shark for some people, but the cool/good bits are really cool. And the cast does a great job selling it.
Hunter and Dan Stevens were great. It’s one of those where the mysterious is more interesting than the reveal, and all falls apart kind of easily. But it’s solid with some great moments.
Nice, I'm always interesting in tying reality to myth and alternate history stuff. I often think about how Robert Johnson's crossroads story would look as a horror period piece.
Looks solid, probably did not need to watch that trailer. Continuing the story from where the last one left off was the right move
