  2. Shelby Oaks was okay. Liked it more than I didn't, but felt like a real non-ending to me

  5. I never hear people talk about Perkins' Netflix movie, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. Is it any good?

I always wanted to watch this, and for some reason I never did, but I know it’s supposed to be like a mega slow burn. I have heard mixed things precisely because of this.

  8. I'd been meaning to get to it but never did. Same with Gretel and Hansel, which I actually bought a few weeks ago

  11. Kind of crazy to see reviews for Keeper drop below Shelby Oaks

Pretty Thing Inside the House is good but it is an extreme slow burn

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

my least favourite Perkins/the only one I don't really like. just found it extremely boring and the payoff was not worth the wait

Just saw that there’s a Sleepaway Camp remake in the works? Interesting.

  16. Yeah, with Keenan Thompson of all people involved lol

  17. I'm high on G&H, The Monkey, and The Blackcoat's Daughter. Longlegs is fun, but also really frustrating in he way it throws everything at the wall to see what sticks. Aesthetically very cool, but overstuffed. Not sure what to expect from Keeper.

  18. Longlegs was good until the last ten minutes, did not stick the landing for me. Conversely, at the risk of over hyping it, I think the last ten minutes of Keeper are what bring it from good to great

  20. Half an hour into Black Phone 2, found the dialogue to be distracting at first but it's low-key going hard as hell, the dream sequences in particular

  21. I fucking looooooved Black Phone 2. Surprise of the year for me honestly. I can't believe they pulled off a satisfying sequel with genuine emotional stakes while also paying homage to a few different 80s slashers AND incorporating some of the coolest visual imagery in mainstream horror right now. The snowy camp setting, the 8mm dream sequences, and the practical effects were all just so sick. Even the shit that felt out of place kind of lent to the movie's charm. Legitimately felt like a lost 80s supernatural slasher, the final sequence was very @OhTheWater coded

Maybe my second favorite of the year after 28 Years Later now

  22. There's some clunky/clumsy dialogue/writing but what the film gets right it knocks out of the park. The dream sequences were indeed super cool

  23. Is Keeper worth seeing in the morning if I only get like four hours of sleep tonight (baby is sleep regressing) or should I catch up on sleep instead

edit: I took an Adderall and drank a large coffee and am arriving at the theater now. Lmao. Predator: Badlands at 11:20 and popcorn lunch in my future.

  24. Yeah, idk about Keeper. Most indulgent Perkins yet so it is absolutely for the Longlegs lovers and not so much for the skeptics (me)
