Guys, I just watched Black Mamba from the Bleeding Skull Backyard Bloodbaths set and it may be the craziest movie I’ve ever seen. Neil Breen is the closest I can compare it to but holy shit, it was fucking out there and in terrible taste and absurd. Only an insane person could make that movie
Wife and I hosted our second annual Halloween party/marathon at our house last night. We don’t announce the movies/theme beforehand, but they were: The Fog The Howling The Evil Dead I also spliced in trailers (and theater/intermission bumpers): Carrie, Hellraiser, Halloween, Prom Night, Candyman, The Exorcist, Terror Train, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, and Nightmare on Elm Street. I told everyone the trailers were a big hint. And the theme (which was guessed a few minutes into Evil Dead) was that all of these movies are mentioned by name in Scream.
Pretty happy with my final list. I was able to get to everything, except I did want to revisit Jason X but it didn’t happen. Slither Monster squad Cabin Fever Hell House 2001 Train to Busan The Ring The Bay Mandy Gonjiam :haunted asylum Barbarian NoEM: Dream Warriors Exorcist 3 Nobody will save you Pet Semetery Hereditary Weapons The Fly

I definitely dropped the ball this year as far as trying to fit in as many horror movies into October as possible (making little to no progress on Gore Us), buuut I did manage to dress up and meet up with friends for Halloween--twice!
Strange Harvest was definitely more interesting than Poughkeepsie Tapes, but reminded me of that more than like Lake Mungo. More fake true crime over the real tho, please.
Really enjoyed Butterfly Kisses and the meta awareness it displayed. A documentary about the making of a documentary that is based on found footage is pretty genius.
Yep! I knew it was going to be bad - that’s what I wanted. But it ended up just really boring me, unfortunately.
Haunting of Hill House is just perfect. Just watched the continuous shot ep and got chills even tho I've watched it multiple times before
