I didn't hate Shelby Oaks, but it definitely felt like a Cliff's Notes version of about four different movies. Lots of barely explained plot points that would have helped the story not feel so...half finished?

The Poughkeepsie Tapes- I think I have a pretty high tolerance for shitty found footage, but thought this especially sucked and so I bailed like halfway through

28 Years Later- loved it! Love how abrasive the editing was, thought the whole 3rd act was solid

Hadn’t heard of harvest brood before but gonna check it out after I finish Poltergeist

 

The Paranormal Activity Play was very fun. Mostly cheesy writing and nothing groundbreaking, but great set design and one trick that really blew me away.

 

think I'm doing Halloween 1-3 and a quiet night tonight, tomorrow we're having a party ostensibly to get high and watch movies but I don't know how much of the latter will happen lmao

 

Watched the Exorcist III tonight and it rocked, knew that one jump scare was coming and it still got my ass

 

it's that night here in my part of the world at least so happy Halloween to my favourite freaks on chorus, love you all

 

Ben Tramer's death in H2 gotta be one of the funniest/most OTT deaths for a minor character ever. dude doesn't even get a line of dialogue before getting immolated
