I didn't know Wesley Snipes was a Chorus member. Neat. (that's the only explanation I can muster for this atrocity)
Interested in your thoughts! I missed it during the weekend but started it last night. Excited to finish NOTLD and I’ve never even heard of the other movie. Crazy that this was their 100th and 101st movies on Shudder.
It was a great time! NOTLD is obviously a classic (Dawn is maybe my favorite horror film ever) and it was interesting to hear JBB's take on it. I'd heard of the second film (it comes up a lot in disturbing movie conversations) and it was the first one he ever reviewed, which was very cool, but some friends were going through a personal thing and I was texting all throughout the movie, so unfortunately it was more background noise for me. But I liked it enough that I'm already excited to rewatch and pay attention lol
I’m really excited to finish NOTLD (maybe tonight). It seems crazy to me that i have not heard him do a Romero film up to this point. It was fascinating learning about the public domain stuff and how the movie even came to be in the first place. Also now really excited for Anthrophophagus now haha
Yeah, I did not know about the copyright thing or the investors playing zombies, absolutely loved learning about that
I know this is not the general horror thread so I'll stop after this but wow Anthropophagus was not what I expected in the coolest way. Italian horror in the 70s and 80s still reigns supreme. Honestly surprised I hadn't heard more about that scene too.
