It's gotta be Halloween folks.

 

impossible match-up but I think the Alien franchise is shockingly consistent and doesn't have any movie as bad as Halloween 5 or Zombie's Halloween 2 (I know, I know)

 

To me it’s an easy match-up, though I admit I’m not much of a sci-fi guy. I prefer RZ’s Halloween 2 to most of the movies in either franchise! I also love Halloween Resurrection so what can I say

 

Lots of respect for the Alien movies for sure, but if I'm forced to choose, I think the Halloween series is my personal favorite franchise

 

If Halloween loses I'm burnin this shit to the ground.

The Halloween franchise is much better than the Alien franchise imo. Especially if we’re talking about them in the context of a horror franchise.

 

But Alien has Alien 3....and are the AvPs tied into the franchise?

 

Alien 3 is Fincher and also a huge example of studio interference so it gets a pass from me. I think Resurrection is the big culprit, no?

 

Also, wow Happy Alien Day!

 

Alien 3 is the Scream 3 of the Alien franchise. It’s good but has a negative reputation.

Yep. And as @Contender said, Alien 3 really isn't that bad - especially the assembly cut.
