The Wallace house has been through a complete remodel and looks nothing like it did in the films.

Decided to come up with a list of horror films I want to watch during October, picked thirty-one for a film a day. Might change between now and the month itself since some of these are on streaming services which obviously can take films down but hopefully that won't be the case. In bold are the ones I haven't seen.

    Poltergeist
    Poltergeist II: The Other Side
    Poltergeist III
    Sputnik

    The Exorcist
    Exorcist II: The Heretic
    The Exorcist III
    Bone Tomahawk
    A Nightmare on Elm Street.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
    Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

    Wes Craven's New Nightmare
    The Fog (1980)
    Uninvited
    Chopping Mall
    Lord of Illusions
    The Blob (1988)
    Death Ship
    Rats: Night of Terror

    The Stepfather
    The New Kids
    Dream Demon
    Black Sunday
    Innocent Blood

    Demon Seed
    The Black Cat (1934)
    Murders in the Rue Morgue

    The Raven (1935)

Never seen the Elm Street sequels, eh? That’s gonna be a fun watch for ya! Personally I’ve become more of a fan of Part 2 over the years. Highly underrated film that’s finally getting the appreciation it deserves today.

I need to revisit Poltergeist III. I saw that movie so many times as a kid I'm still afraid of 80s apartments with mirrored closets.

Same here, found a brand new copy of the Scream Factory Blu-ray a couple months back so I bought it and watched it...yeah it doesn’t hold up at all lol

if you have Stitcher Premium, check out I Was There Too Podcast, a great movie podcast in general but host Matt Gorley has episodes on classic horror. I don’t remember if it’s within the same episode or another, but he interviews PJ Soles about her role in Halloween and has another segment where he records his visit to the Myers home location and comes across fellow fans visiting the place

oh wow Host was good. I waited for the hype to die down a little and it was worth it. It lasted the perfect amount of time and went from 1 to 10 quickly. Some quality spooky moments that will raise my anxiety when going to sleep later.

No, but this October is the perfect time to do so given that the seven films are being re-released in a Collector's Edition box set which is only slightly more expensive than the standard box set on September 21st.

Also - for those of you with Shudder subs: did you get an email notifying you of a price bump? I've seen screenshots but haven't gotten an email myself.

Interesting. I wasn't sure if it was just a timing thing (and everyone will eventually get one), or there were stipulations on it and it would only affect certain payment plans.

Because if I remember correctly, there was a change in price previously but certain original members were grandfathered in and unaffected.

  21. Echoing the praise for Host. It's so short too, so I'm def going to squeeze it into the next Halloween movie marathon with friends (whatever year that can happen again).

I also got the email from Shudder. My yearly subscription went from $47.88 to $56.99.

Has anyone read the book I'm Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid? Movie for this is coming out on Netflix I believe Sep. 4. The book was super creepy and think if the movie is done right, I think there is a lot of potential for it to be great.
