Oh man absolutely. It's comfort food for me. I put them on and zone out and feel good. I envy you for having so much content to go through if you decide to do it! I've gone back to the Fridays every now and then and they're just so rushed and unpolished. By the time he gets to Nightmare/Halloween they're a bit better.

  2. Hell yeah, I could use some comfort watching right now so I'll dive in and report back. I tend to avoid kill count stuff because I worry it'll make me less likely to just revisit the film, but I'm sure that'll change once I get a feel for his style.

The early stuff on his channel is basically just straight kill counts, but as time goes on he started diving more into some behind the scenes info and highlighting the VFX people behind the films. If you start at the beginning and aren’t really feeling it maybe move forward a couple years, he’s currently doing the Wrong Turn series and it’s giving me a new appreciation for a series I had written off.

Lol I love seeing the same debate on Zombie’s Halloweens. @OhTheWater definitely gets credit for never wavering in his stance on those films, despite most of us highly disliking them.

@Cameron I personally went into Scary Stories with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.

I don’t think any of either the Halloween series or FT13 movies are good to great in terms of quality outside of Halloween (1978), Halloween II, H20, Halloween (2018), FT13th 1/2, Final Chapter, and Freddy Vs Jason.

However, there are multiple Halloween movies I know aren’t good that I love purely based on nostalgia, kills, and just all around generally being haunted in my nightmares by Michael Myers for years as a kid.

  9. Considering horror movies dominate my weekend, would anyone be interested in doing a weekly Chorus zoom call/hangout kind of thing? Maybe agree on a movie we could all watch beforehand? Just curious if there's any interest

I’m down. Will wear a Tony Soprano mask and suit and role play.

edit: gonna continue this character break and say I would pay copious amounts of money to be able to watch Tony Soprano reaction vids to horror movies. Outside of Cleaver of course.

This would be awesome. None of my friends like horror, so an outlet would be nice.

It’s not something I go back to, but I remember liking it alright. Might try to revisit it this October.

Zombie's interview on Rogan (yea yea I know) was very interesting. He was trying to make a "hard R" hockey film based on Philly's "Broad Street Bullies." The organization entertained it for quite some time, but ultimately dumped it over image issues. I really think he would've killed it with that source material.

Just watched The Burning for the first time. Pretty good, it's a shame who made it and I don't think I'll be watching again.

Any opinions on The Town That Dreaded Sundown remake? A friend let me borrow and swears its awesome meta take on a slasher, but he's hyperbolic about every horror movie he sees being amazing. I have a feeling it's going to suck.

It's a solid effort. It may be a little slow at certain points, but definitely doesn't suck.

  22. Update. Just finished watching Becky. Definitely worth a watch if you’re looking for a fun 90 minutes. Rated R Home Alone.

Could be into a zoom call here too
