Yeah I especially loved this. Something about this scholar entering a community of color and terrorizing it, I’ve been thinking about it a lot today

 

Oh yeah Crawl was solid. Nothing too interesting, but them gators fuck shit up.

 

Had to cancel my Shudder subscription. My account was compromised months ago, and after changing my password I found out the hacker was still using my account. It turns out changing your password doesn’t really log you out from all devices (and that feature currently doesn’t exist).

The advice they gave me was to just “cancel my subscription” and “register again”. But it turns out I can’t because my subscription expires next year.

So my hacker has access to my account until then and I can’t do anything about it lol. I’m just pissed off that they compromised on security like that.

just giving everyone a heads up to make sure your shudder password is not generic and same as your other ones (but you should be doing that already)

 

Deliver Us From Evil is actually awesome if you haven’t seen it.

I just finished watching The Fly for the first time. Wowee zowee! What a flick

 

Probably my second or third fav Cronenberg.

 

Second favorite after The Brood for me.

 

The Fly II, while inferior, is worth a watch

 

Yep, and sometimes Videodrome.

 

Yeah, The Fly 2 is bad but fun. I watched Shivers last week and it was wild seeing what essentially set the tone for the first half of Cronenberg's career.

Without a new episode of The Last Drive-In tonight, I'm running through the back catalog/marathons. Attempting Tourist Trap, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, and Blood Feast tonight. Tourist Trap is awesome so far

 

Slimeball is a movie I remember watching on HBO or Showtime at 1 in the morning when I was about 10. It was so long ago and I was so weirded out by it that I thought I made up what I saw.

Fast forward 23 years later and I rewatch it on Shudder. Never had I thought it was a REAL movie because I don’t remember the title, just the content. What a wild experience.

 

Me and the slack group I'm in watched the Last Drive-in Tourist Trap episode. We're gonna try and make our way through in order every Friday till it's back

 

I'm glad they filmed the last season before the pandemic/protests started, I shudder thinking about what Joe Bob would say about all this lol

 

that being said I really want them to do Mandy next season

 

i got a shudder trial and was excited to check out the last drive in with a childhood favorite, chopping mall, but man, the girlfriend and i really did not like joe bob briggs at all haha. weird trumpy rants about sex robots and vagina size.

 

Yeah, he's a curmudgeon at best and weirdly conservative at worst. Fwiw, I've notice him listening to his audience and working towards being better. He posted a couple links to black and Native American organizations to donate to on Twitter. I'm less in love with him and more in love with the idea of tuning in to watch some surprise B-movies with a live audience and having someone talk about the production or interview cast members alongside the film.
