  1. Yeah I mean I'm a sucker for found footage, it's typically easy to watch, but like this is actually a wild step up from the first film

Definitely agree with it being the weaker of the three. The poor editing is also one of the main reasons why it reminded me of 31 lol

I've said it before and I'll say it again: darkness falls is a cinematic masterpiece and it was snubbed at the Oscars and every other award show that did not nominate it for the perfection that it is

I've never seen this, but (Just searching it now) the fact that it was released in 2003 and has a 9% on Rotten Tomatoes makes me believe you. Downloading now and will watch soon.

Music, Gaming, Movies and Guys = Life

Had a double bill last night consisting of The Haunted Palace, which I recently got on Blu-ray from Arrow Video and Dracula from 1958, known in the US as Horror of Dracula and both were highly enjoyable.

The Haunted Palace is not only one of Roger Corman's best films but also one of the best from lead star Vincent Price who nails the role just like in all the other films I have seen from him this year, which has been a lot, while the production and score enliven every scene. The plot is based on the story The Case of Charles Dexter Ward by H. P. Lovecraft. but was given a title from an Edgar Allen Poe poem to capitalise on the success of five prior films based on Poe's work and the plot is really good with more psychological elements than most other horror films from the time. Both this and House of Usher are my favourite Price/Corman collaborations.

Was a bit worried watching Dracula given how much praise it is has had over the years but it mostly lived up to that praise primarily thanks to the cast, pacing, straight to the point plot, solid cinematography and the build-up of vampire lore. Won't be able to watch many more of the Dracula series from Hammer Horror but will get around to at least watching Dracula: Prince of Darkness.

Wish more Hammer Horror films were readily available as I want to at least see their Frankenstein series and their version of The Mummy.

I think I remember the text being really small in dark web? Think that stopped me from enjoying it more

Dark Web is fun. I saw that on a really annoying date that I didn't even know was a date, so I think that hinders my enjoyment of it a bit. I really like the first Unfriended though.

Absolutely! G2 is sooooo good. I have so many memories attached to it. Best jump scare in any movie, maybe besides Alien.

Plus that scene with the gremlin who kills the secretary, and then that look he gives the CEO....chills.

Plus it’s a comedic gold mine.

I love the backstory I heard years ago Joe Dante was good friends with Leonard Maltin but disappointed that Len gave a bad review for the first Gremlins. So Joe invited him to cameo and give his verbatim original review right before being devoured by gremlins.

The Hitchhiker short in Creepshow 2 might be the funniest thing I've seen this year.

There’s a pretty big component to the story of the main character being uncomfortable with her stage of adolescence and how romantic feelings are coming up for the first time, and the big bad is this incredibly creepy but also really charming and kind of oversexualized Brendon Urie circa 2006
type who is terrorizing her in her dreams and even appears over her bed. And now the missing kids are both boys she had shown interest in. I’m sure a lot of the darkest or most mature readings of this (and other in-show examples) will never be anything more than under the surface, but I’m kind of shocked that these themes are coming up at all in a straight up kids show. I’m super curious to see how everything plays out in the finale.
