I just watched Jigsaw and The Strangers: Prey at Night today and last night. They weren’t great but weren’t nearly as bad as I was expecting them to be after reading reviews.

Besides that, I watched Apostle which was pretty good!

I want to show my girlfriend Trick r treat this week also. I haven’t seen that since it came out but i liked it enough to buy the comic (which is cool btw if you’re a fan of the movie)

So I decided to splurge and bought this print from Gallery 1988 since I’m in the need of decorating wall space.

Summer of 84 was pretty good

    Alien Covenant was not

  7. I still love Alien: Covenant.

Went out and bought Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, and Freddy vs. Jason. I've only made it through the first two, but woof...interesting that the two worst films of the franchise essentially ended it consecutively like that, and with Sean Cunningham back on board. Jason Goes to Hell is at least fun in a batshit crazy sort of way (the FBI exploding Jason's body, an unexplained bounty hunter, a worm posessing Jason's victims, etc.) Jason X was SO disappointing in the sense, by all counts, it should've been similarly entertaining. Instead, it mostly felt like a wasted opportunity and a slog. My current ranking based on personal preferance would probably be as follows:

Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (sorry)
    Friday the 13th
    Part VI: Jason Lives
    Part 3-D
    Part II
    Part IV: The Final Chapter
    Part V: A New Beginning
    Part VII: New Blood
    Jason Goes to Hell
    Jason X

Overall, maybe a little more consistent than the Halloween franchise, but I still enjoy that one more. Having a blast running through these, though. Probably going to do Child's Play next.

glad to see others enjoyed Summer of 84. planning to finally go see Halloween tonight, in IMAX. been trying to get people to go and it's been a pain, so screw it, going alone haha.

Never seen Trick r' Treat but it's always recommended to me, finally gonna watch it tomorrow, feel like Halloween is as good a day as any.

watched Before I Wake the other night. some effects were a little cheeseball and the ending is tied off a little too neatly for my tastes but there was some effective and clever stuff in there. didn’t know it was a Mike Flanagan flick until the credits, explains Mrs. Dudley from Hill House having a small role

Watched The Exorcist with my girlfriend, who had never seen it. She is an easy scare with horror movies and she wasn't scared at all which was interesting. She enjoyed it a lot though and was blown away by Linda Blair's performance.
