Lmao I have no idea why it's on that channel but I also watch old Roseanne reruns on CMT so I find myself supporting them randomly a lot apparently

I’m in Salem this weekend for my first visit ever. The Nightmare Gallery....short but wow. I was in horror movie heaven for a solid 10 minutes.

Edit: just catching up on the thread an A) I think Mul Drive is a bit overrated. I’ve watched it more than twice, but just find it a little pretentious as well as boring at times. I’m also not fond of how Naomi described shooting those sex scenes went. On top of all those reasons, it doesn’t register as horror to me at all cause it isn’t and didn’t belong on the list.

    B) Piranha 3D is mindless gore comedy. Did I laugh at it? At times. Do I think it belongs on a list of goat horror movies? Of course not.

I got to see a House of the Devil on the big screen last night and man, that movie is still SO fantastic. I don’t care much for Ti West’s other stuff, but everything about that movie is just great to me. I wish Jocelin Donahue was in more.

Dude Salem is great! My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary last year (don’t judge us lol) and we had so much fun! The nightmare gallery is a lot of fun. I actually bought a goosebumps shirt waiting in line drunk haha. Also, definitely check out the witch house and at least one of the many tours. I hope you have a great time!

Woke up dehydrated, second day of this cold, head throbbing, and the end of The Fly 2 is on HBO and I forgot how brutal this was.

I had no idea he directed Cabin Fever 2 and tried to do the ol' Alan Smithee, wow haha

Yeah, Innkeepers was a letdown after how great HotD was but I liked the Sacrament quite a bit when I watched it way back when, no idea if it holds up tho

No judgement here, we were cruising around New Hampshire over the weekend and went to Spooky World and Salem for our anniversary.

Watched Piranha 3D with friends last night. It was extremely EXTREMELY silly. I appreciated how batshit it gets, but yeah, probably wouldn’t put it on a list with the best horrors of the decade.

I loved the innkeepers and house of the devil. I didn't rly get the point of the sacrament like idk it just felt like they took Jonestown documentaries and did a film that wasn't as good as the documentaries

I didn't hate The Innkeepers or anything, my expectations were probably just too high coming off of HotD

I think the actress who was Not The Real Marnie in Halloweentown was good in the innkeepers and made a lot of the movie for me. I thought she was v charming and relatable

Agree with this! She’s the high point of the movie so the ending makes me feel Real Bad.

So I watched Halloween 2 (2009) since it made the top 10 on that 50 best list. My god, I know people can have differing opinions, but I just don’t get why it’s on there. I saw the first Zombie remake in high school and remember liking it, but being a teenager, I probably played it up as better than it likely was. I can only imagine that the first was not as great as my younger self thought because the sequel is nothing special.

Then again, I guess it’s boring if the same Top 50 horror movies lists get dropped each year, so there’s that.
