I will say Chucky NOT being voiced by Brad Douriff is what's not getting me excited for it. Similar to the Nightmare reboot, there are certain characters in horror you just can't replace with other actors.

 

I would have argued that for Pennywise, but plenty of people seem to disagree.

it was easy to accept the recast with an actual good adaptation vs a cheesy TV movie though

 

Can't wait for Halloween this year as I am getting to see the original Halloween at my local cinema for its 40th Anniversary, always wanted to see it on the big screen and now I finally can do so.

 

I've never seen Halloween II. It's never streaming and the library doesn't have it

 

I'm sure you could buy it for a relatively cheap price, what I did for the ones I couldn't stream when I watched all the original series' films last year.

 

Watched Mandy again, liked it even more and the pacing bothered me less. Tied with Annihilation and Hereditary for my favorite of the year.

 

I think I know the basic plot but didn’t want to know more nor have I watched the trailer. But is it similar in the vein of Green Room?

 

Not really, totally it’s own unique thing.

Definitely recommend seeing it in a theater, but you can rent it on iTunes/etc now too.

Anybody watch Hell House LLC 2 yet? I just happened to sign up for Shudder the day before it went up. I was excited to watch the first one, but when I hit play, I realized I had totally watched it a few months back. Enjoyed it, but obviously it didn't stick with me.

 

The best comparison I have for it is Grave Encounters to Grave Encounters 2.

 

I have seen neither, but I am literally about to press play on the first one haha.

 

Descent to the sequel (people swear up and down they made but I have never seen any proof actually exists.)

 

oooooh, i LOVE Hell House LLC. didn't know they made a sequel. and i love Grave Encounters and mostly enjoyed the sequel. looking forward to checking Hell House 2 out. hopefully this weekend.
