The series took a nosedive in quality when Jason became an immortal zombie that just wanders around and kills people.

 

Those are the Kane Hodder installments and he's generally the most faved Jason amongst fans

 

It wasn't a problem with Jason at all. They're just the worst movies in the series

 

Part VII is the worst of all of them. It feels like it was originally going to be a different movie but they couldn't make it work so they're like, "Fuck it, put Jason in there".

 

VII was suppose to be the Freddy vs. Jason one but plans fell through between the two studios that owned the properties so they basically set it up to be Jason vs. Carrie.

 

That makes sense actually looking back on it, never knew that.

 

The characters in those three movies sucked bad. I know they were never a strong suit but in those three I had a hard time keeping track of who was who, because I just didn't care. The telekinetic girl was very poorly fleshed out. That final battle was cool though

 

That was the only good part of the movie hahaha

 

Which one was VII, Manhattan? I dug that one!

I still like it, even if he was only in NYC for very little of the movie

 

Ah alright I just looked it up on IMDB, saw that little piece of trivia. I haven't seen these movies in so damn long, with the exception of the first couple. If I remember correctly, the one with the knife stabbing into the eyehole on the VHS cover was my favorite.

I was never big on the slasher genre.

 

Best part of VIII is when he punches the guys head off

 

A shame we'll never get to see all the stuff that got cut out of VI due to the MPAA.

 

Which the asshole deserved for trying to box Jason. Kind of reminds me when Busta fights with Michael Myers.

 

I'm thinking of the wrong scene then, wasn't it a black dude on the boat who was boxing with Jason?

The Crazies is a good movie.

 

Jason takes Manhattan was my first F13 movie. Has a very special place in my heart. I think that opening scene was my first exposure to on screen nudity haha. A little TMI for all of you

 

The remake or the original? Haven't seen the Romero one but the remake was pretty good

 

The one with Timothy Olyphant I think is his name. I like it bc it gives me the creeps kinda like The Happening.

 

I dug the remake, the moment they realize they're above a huge plane under the surface of the water gave me the creeps. I have a thing for not knowing what's underneath the water; the ending of The Abyss still freaks me the fuck out.
