November is one of those movies that I'm really glad exists, but I'm not sure how much I actually liked it. The look and cinematography is pretty incredible, though. I was mesmerized by a lot of the shots.

 

It's not up on IPT yet and I don't really wanna do a free trial just to watch it proper, but the weed man can't come til later anyways and I ain't watching it without

 

Yeah, November wasn’t really for me, but it’s really lovable. I’d compare it to The Wailing, as both lean so heavily into the culture and folklore of their specific regions.

 

I loved every second of it

 

Gonna keep on this Phantasm train because I watched the sequel last night and it was absolutely wild and bombastic and, while not a great film, added a good amount to the mythology of the first film. Coscarelli is so underated. I forgot he directed Bubba Ho-Tep. That being said, I still have to watch Lord of the Dead, Oblivion and Ravager, which I understand were very limited budget-wise. But I'm excited. Double-featuring The Fog and The Howling tonight, but I might tack on John Dies at the End for good measure.

 

Is anyone planning on going to either weekend of the Salem Horror Fest? They just announced Faculty of Horror for their witch themed weekend and I’m about to pull the trigger on tickets. Look at this film lineup!!!

my girlfriend and i really want to visit salem anyway so this might be the perfect excuse to do it this fall ^

 

If you decide to go, book a room now or get an Airbnb. My girlfriend and I went last year the weekend before Halloween and it was PACKED. Every hotel room was sold out but we were able to find an Airbnb like 15 minutes away, walking distance. With that said, it was an absolute blast

 

I haven’t read this thread but has anyone seen the Terrifier? I’m super interested in seeing it but I heard it’s BRUTAL. Idk if my stomach it handle it these days lol

 

Good thing I just moved to Salem like two weeks ago! Definitely hitting that up..

 

Please tell me it’s very cool to live there!! My boyfriend and I have a running list of cities in the east coast to consider moving to when we are ready for a Big Move.

I dug it. Loved the folklore. Beautifully shot. Definitely enjoyed it

 

28 Days Later was on TV and showed an alternate ending (the "true" one I guess) I'd never seen even tho I have the DVD and I was v appalled

 

wait, what alternate ending? how did I not know about this?

 

I guess the one they show after the credits where cillian dies but I never stick around after the credits. This time i was too lazy to change the channel and i was like and then I read that it's the ending they wanted until test audiences said it was too bleak

 

I remember back in 2002 a few months after the initial US release they re-released it in theaters with the alternate ending added

 

i saw the alt ending but in storyboard form, i wasn't aware they filmed it

 

oh damn yeah i gotta see that

honestly it makes more logical sense that he'd die from a shot to the chest

 

28 Days Later is one of my favorite movies, and I never knew this. feelsbad
