I thought the loved ones was great. Nice balance between the bat shit insanity and the secondary story for a little comic relief. It all came together in a nice packaged way. The drill to the eye bit makes me cringe just thinking about it.

For me, the barometer for WTF in horror is Eraserhead or Santa Sangre, maybe Begotten too.

Adam Wingard is also being speculated to direct the next Halloween. Looks like there are two names in the hat now.

    I'm Back.

I mentioned that one yesterday, curious to see it.

Speaking of The Loved Ones, that reminds me of this British flick a handful of years ago where a small group of high school kids (or private school) invite most of their class to a "party" out in some abandoned building in the middle of no where. Turns out the entire thing was a scam to torture/kill the classmates that were bullying them.

Anyone remember what that was called?

I also watched 3 guys 1 hammer yesterday for some god forsaken reason, I guess curiosity finally got the better of me.

    Anyone seen "Clown" yet?

    I'm Back.

Yup, a while ago actually. Really awesome and one of the few movies I've seen that doesn't pull any punches. There is a scene involving kids and one of those in door tube type playground things that makes me not want to let my kids play in one.

It's really good. I think Eli Roth is somehow attached to this, but luckily his presence isn't apparent.

This is the one you're talking about, right?

    I'm Back.

But only if that includes the remake and the TV series by the same name from 87-90.

  14. Yes to the remake, the TV series is too much of a commitment haha

But seriously, I think that might be my podcast idea. Just drunkcasting franchises with a friend.

You gotta go with the unconventional ones so you can stand out like Wishmaster, The Howling, Hellraiser... trying to think of others...Puppet Master.

So many good ones. Critters. Tremors. Leprechaun. Ghoulies had a few films. That could be a lot of fun.

  18. Love all of these haha. I should probably start throwing something together

You should man. It'd be hilarious.

Oh, Jaws also had a few terrible sequels if I remember correctly.

  20. I'm actually brainstorming franchises and show ideas right now. I could have a different co-host for each franchise. The franchises would have to include a certain number of bad films, and I would do one episode per film rather than franchise. Here's a list of some I'd be interested in covering so far:

    Friday the 13th
    Nightmare on Elm Street
    Halloween
    Hellraiser
    Puppet Master
    Critters
    Ghoulies
    Leprechaun
    Tremors
    Wrong Turn
    Final Destination
    Jaws
    Paranormal Activity
    Saw

    Definitely open to suggestions!

So are you thinking of drunk casting each film of each franchise? That would be hours and hours of content. Or just cherry pick the entries that are widely considered to be awful?

  23. I'm thinking a guest and I will drink while watching each installment and essentially recap/review it while drinking immediately after. Each episode would probably run 45 minutes to an hour

Ah, sounds good. I had it in my head that you were going to get hammered and just record you and your buddy's drunken banter while watching each film. Your idea is much better haha

  25. The great thing about it is we'll eventually run out of franchises, but each franchise will be at least four episodes. Worst case scenario, we could just switch to directors haha

I did the math, and with the franchises I'm looking at, I have enough material for at least 77 episodes. Which is wild because I don't even know if the first one will get done haha
