Caught Strangers 2 last night. It was semi decent. Sorta. Idunno. Some nice camerawork and music but very generic in other areas.

 

So far Veronica is really pinging my niche fear of those electronic Simon says games.

 

Sorry, I’m an idiot, didn’t realize there was a new movie on there by that name, haha — thought you meant the one from years ago with Guy Pearce.

 

Before Veronica I’d only ever been scared by one movie. That was disturbing wow. I’m so unsettled.

 

It was more unnerving and sad than scary but damn

 

I enjoyed Veronica. I thought the use of light and shadow was really interesting. On an off handed note I felt cool cause I retained more Spain Spanish than I realized from watching a novela a few years back lol

 

The Strangers 2 was one of the worst movies I've ever had to sit through. you all have been warned

 

Happy to skip it then. I gotta catch Veronica next, general consensus sounds like it’s something I’d like.

 

Watched Veronica with the wife last night. Really really well made horror film. was kinda hoping the nun was gonna help out more lol

 

I really want to start the rec series, but I think only the 3rd is on Netflix

 

I can’t agree with this, but to each their own...different strokes lol
I personally loved it. The old school 80s slasher feel accompanied by its awesome soundtrack and score, it was horror heaven for 75 minutes!

 

Veronica was very enjoyable. Good atmosphere, surprisingly solid child actor performances, and a disturbing ending.

 

Shudder has 1,2, and 3 if you have that. Or if you haven’t used the free trial yet. Netflix has 4. So you can watch the whole package

I saw one and thought it was ok. Saw no. 2 and did not like and stopped there.

 

Strangers 2 was fine. Nothing special, but considering it's only 1hr15min, I didn't feel like I had wasted my time.

 

I’m excited to watch it, didn’t realize it had that short of a fun time. Oh well. Something to be said about not trying to stretch things out for the sake of making a 90+ minute film.

 

Just read some early responses to A Quiet Place screenings, and they’re mostly very positive. I’m looking forward to seeing that even more now.

Has anyone ever listened to any horror podcasts? Or just audible horror stories. Looking for something to listen to when I've got a little time, be it a horror story or discussion.

 

Lore, i suppose? never listened to the podcast and didn't get far into the show before turning it off, but it struck me as a better cast than show.

 

I seen Lore on Amazon and didn't really click with the first episode. I might look into the podcast and see if that's different.
