Article complains about Doug Bradley passing on the torch to a new actor playing Pinhead, but he obviously missed Revelations (can’t blame him). Bradley hasn’t played Pinhead since 2005.

  2. Stumbled across a Nightmare on Elm Street box set at work and realized I had never seen 2 through Freddy's Dead, so that's going to be my weekend.

The second Nightmare is my favorite, mainly due to how overly homoerotic it is and how the director was on a mission to keep it that way. Plus, the pool party Freddy massacre is so much fun.

I watched the first three in a row a few days ago but I haven’t picked it up since. Only loved the first one. I do want to get to New Nightmare tho

  5. Dream Warriors all day for me.

I don't really like 2 that much, not enough dream stuff, though the pool party is great. Dream Warriors is so much better.

  7. Rented New Nightmare a while back based on some discussion in this thread and really wasn't a fan. Would be curious to hear your thoughts though

Agreed entirely. I found 2 to be super slow paced as well.

Just imagine that Freddy is repressed sexuality and it becomes a solid metaphor movie

I’ll have to rewatch it again with that in mind.

after my third watch, i'm comfortable saying Green Room is an example of a perfectly made horror/thriller film.

  19. This is what I said in the Sundance thread about it:

"It was basically a super artsy/weird mix of old school Evil Dead and new school Evil Dead with a synth soundtrack and classic Nic Cage-ness.

    I fucking loved it."

i almost turned it off (the stuff in the beginning was like laughably bad) but i thought that once they got in the cage, it became somewhat tolerable
