  1. This looks awesome.

I can't believe I forgot about Get Out. I hope that hits Netflix soon.

    Loved Neon Demon.

To watch within the next week or so, yeah, but I'd be open to older recs to keep in mind for afterward.

Creep 2 was so good haha, I had no idea where they'd take the concept but it was an excellent pivot. Last shot has me sweating for the final entry

Picking Jeepers Creepers was unbelievably tone deaf

And I know there are Polanski films in there, but they are undisputed classics from an era we're not a part of. Choosing JC (which to my understanding isn't even a good film and has another instalment in the works that should not be seeing the light of day) just feels different, idk

There's a few idiot plot moments in it, but the first one I actually found to be good. Not my favorite ever, but believably acted and some of the imagery scared me when I was younger. Specifically when they get to the old woman's house.

Yeah I mean fuck the series now that I'm aware of that monster, but I did like the series growing up. I don't ever intend on finding out if they hold up though.

Seeing someone dumping a body on the side of the road haunted me forever.

Not to be condescending but, just in case you're unaware, I'm referring to the fact that the director is a convicted pedophile

loved how bleak the ending of JC was. if i recall that was really different from how most horror films of the time ended. and just in general JC seemed like the type of movie to have a standard, uninterested / expected ending, but totally didn't go that route so i will forever give it kudos for that alone.

but that's looking at the film alone and not the history / people behind it.

Just saw the other responses, never saw it but fair enough, shouldn't have spoke to the objective quality having never seen it

For some reason my HS kids really love JC. I guess it played a lot in syndication while they grew up? More talk about that than Nightmare or Friday or Halloween

I thought I was in that Justin Timberlake thread for a sec and I got rly excited at the idea that hs kids are into jc chasez smh disappointed

I find that people my age and younger rly tend to love those 00s horror movies because it's what they grew up on and what they were exposed to vs the classics that are often just played around Halloween.

Moving away from the gross Pedo movies, has anyone watched this Slasher series on Netflix? Is it worth it? I'm ten minutes into the first episode and like what I've seen for the most part.

I liked it. It’s definitley a good satirical 80s/90s horror type show

Good to hear! I'm liking it so far. Hard to knock Netflix for upping their prices when they actually are pumping out some good stuff. The Stephen King adaptation of Gerald's Game was great.
