I haven't been watching much horror lately and need to get back into it! Any of you guys have letterboxd accounts? I want to look through some movie options!

 

Just finished Cult of Chucky.

Holy shit.

 

How was it? I'm shocked it leaked this early.

 

It was so good. Hilarious and violent (it’s definitely the goriest film of the franchise). There’s a couple of big twists but the real twist is who returns in the post credit scene. Just remember to stay after all the credits.

nah, i dont believe in an absolute and away goat for any medium, but it's part of the nebulous esteemed range for me, with Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Black Christmas

Holy shit I just watched pumpkinhead for the first time and the effects were still really rad for that movie having come out in like 88 or whenever

 

Underrated film. Played at the annual Halloween horror marathon last year and I was blown away

Watched Scary Movie last night and it is the goat horror parody

 

is it weird to prefer scary movie 3

so many classic moments, like the cop's hat getting bigger and dirt nasty throwing a can of paint out the car window and anthony anderson cocking his shovel

some all-time quotes too, like "Cindy, the TV's leaking!" and "Tom, I'm going to need a ride home."

 

Young Frankenstein tho

 

Despite the writer changes and how different it is tonally, Scary Movie 3 is my second favourite.



Scary Movie needs an oral history written on it though, it's good ( >Young Frankenstein)

 

well, i think all art has a refractory period where i refuse to call it goat out of respect for the time it's taken other art to get to goat status but i agree

 

I just mean The Witch is inarguably goat horror
