Holy shit

 

the filter hurts me, that film was so beautifully dingy

 

I watched both versions of Black Christmas as part of October's marathon, so Krampus it is.

Finished Sinister 2 last night. Wasn't too bad.

 

Loved Don't Breathe despite hating the protagonists a lot, especially the guy thief.

 

Watched Triangle, god I hate Melissa George

and this movie was filled with like 6 Melissa Georges

 

I feel like they tried to make him exactly like Jared Leto in Panic Room.

Never heard of it. But I have a huge crush on Melissa George.

 

pretty much killed him the same way too haha [\spoiler]

 

Haha yep.

 

Woman goes on yacht, yacht has issues but "oh look a giant spooky ship we should get on it"

Her time on Grey's Anatomy turned me real sour on her.

 

I've really only seen her in a couple things. One of those being 30 Days of Night, which I surprisingly didn't hate.

 

I love 30 Days of NIght.

 

Not him actually, the main guy, the one with no personality. I actually liked the Jared Leto guy But he died right away soooo

 

Melissa George and the Triangle are both awesome! And 30 days of night

 

Oh yeah ha. Yeah he was just alright. I've only seen him in one other movie, and that was Prisoners. He was alright in that one, too.

 

The Darkness was just plain bad. The daughter had the least convincing American accent I've ever heard.

 

Silent Night Deadly Night was fun. Now four more to go.

 

Had you seen it before? I'm looking forward to checking that one out for the first time

 

I saw an abbreviated version of the first sequel, which features scenes from the first one, at an Alamo Drafthouse thing a couple years ago. This was my first time with the movie itself

 

I'm not sure how to describe The Eyes of My Mother. It's quiet in tone, but also chilling. Left me feeling strange and uncomfortable sooo.. definitely recommended.

 

Watching Insidious for the first time. James Wan is becoming my fav director in the genre.

 

Insidious was good. Had some problems with the third act( the further ). Though it mainly boiling down to clumsy writing. Like showing the demon too much. Thought he was really scary before the whole ridiculous fight scene, and all. Then the other fight scene with the guy in the trench coat. The old woman really started to creep me out more than the demon. Though like most horror movies they showed too much. Less they show me the more scared I'am, and the more effective a part can be. They didn't need to show me he was the woman in the photo. It already clicked for me what happened, and it would have been a better ending.

 

Tales of Halloween is complete garbage. I attempted to watch it last night, made it an hour in, and then had to turn it off. It's probably the worst horror anthology I've seen so far, and considering most of them are varying degrees of bad, that's saying something. The V/H/S movies are the only anthologies I've enjoyed tbh.

 

Speaking of VHS is one of the segments getting its own movie? I saw a trailer for an on demand movie that looked very similar to the one where they bring home that girl that becomes a demon/bat thing.
