Antichrist is the maybe the most curious example of horror ever

 

The genital mutilation scene is brutal.

you know it's a lars von trier film when i have to ask "which one"

 

i did not like antichrist

 

people will always be split on antichrist

 

antichrist is obviously it's not for everyone lol

I have a very complicated relationship with the movie, but I ultimately find it very unique and fascinating.

 

On the pretty much complete opposite side of horror, I watched Cabin Fever for the first time last night and sort of loved it lol

 

The original I'm assuming?

 

Oh yes! Forgot they did a remake, assuming it's bad.

 

To this day I will never understand the disdain people have for the original Cabin Fever.

 

Event Horizon is so bad, it's good.

 

The special effects were pretty good. Still hoping we get a Dead Space film.

 

That's not going to happen, ever. Especially with EA killing off the videogame series.

Not at all lol. it's a really good movie

 

Also put me down for Event Horizon and Cabin Fever being good horror movies

 

Eli Roth boils down to love/annoyed dislike for most people i feel like. cabin fever is the only movie of his i like. i don't mind gorn but i want it to feel weighty, his just feels kinda watery (that's a weird adjective but the only one i can think of to describe it).

for Cabin Fever, this works, because the whole movie is kinda like that - the dissolution of flesh. so i liked that enough. the rest, though, just aren't that good to me.

 

I almost bought Hostel 1 & 2 the other day but stopped myself. I'll probably go back and get it though, it was $3 at Big Lots

Never seen any of his movies but I hear at least one of those is good according to some

 

imo there's just not enough tying them together. the second is a little more fun by actually introducing women to the script as more than femme fatales amusingly enough. like it's not good but it's just less boring than the first movie which was all men haha.

you'd be best just watching Cabin Fever imo. or Clown, although he just produced. they're a little more substantial.

 

Just watch Inglourious Basterds.
