Like a lot of anthologies, it's hit and miss. Unfortunately, it was more miss for me, but I've heard some people really had fun with it

 

Midnight Meat Train was so ridiculous haha. it was better than I expected (but not as good as reviews led me to believe). the script really was awful, but it's buoyed by the director's style and the amusing amount of gore... for a little while, anyhow. but it all starts to wear fairly quickly. it's, uh, not exactly subtle with what its thoughts on meat eating are. but good lord does it flip the script in the final 15 minutes. i love how fucking absurd it gets, it's even a decently innovative idea even if it barely makes a lick of cogent sense.

but more than anything, i love that bradley cooper was in this film. i want nothing more than to know what he was thinking while he was kneeling screaming gibberish with his tongue cut out and mouth swelling with fake blood.

 

Can pretty much guarantee that if I see Blumhouse next to a film, I'm gonna watch it.

 

Ugh..his house is soooo cool.

 

I watched Scream 1 & 2 for the first time and thought they were great. Are 3 & 4 worth watching?

 

not really, no

 

4 definitely.

 

I actually haven't seen 4 (just assumed it was as bad as 3) so listen to this man, instead. he knows his horror

 

4 is fun!

3 is still fun..I'd definitely recommend both.

 

Cool. Ya I figured if I'm gonna watch the 4th one, I might as well watch the 3rd.

 

I need to give 3 a rewatch. I watched it once to finish my first time trilogy viewing in preparation for the fourth's release and kind of wrote it off, whereas I've seen the other three a number of times.

 

I haven't seen 4 since it was in theaters but the scene where Emma Roberts self-injures herself to paint herself as the victim was quite laughable and took me out of it.

 

Just watch them all.

 

3 wasn't so bad, it's just not nearly as good as 1 & 2

Agreed. I enjoyed the plot of the film, but It wasn't heavy enough for me. I wish it were more focused on Culkin's character. They could've gone a lot darker with him.

 

Yea, I will say they did pick a good crop of young actors for the 4th film

 

..this talk makes me yearn for a 5th film.

 

I can't imagine that happening, but then again I never thought they'd make a 4th.

 

Well without Wes Craven, I don't think there's much chance of another one
