Just finished Lights Out. I'm astonished by how positive it's reviews are. The trailer was so heavy and had me so excited, but in the end I thought the story and characters were extremely weak.

Has anyone seen The Girl With All The Gifts? I'm thinking about giving it a shot later.

Backtrack is impressively, excessively, soullessly schematic. it's almost charming in how derivative it all is. each twist comes and is more obvious and obscene than the last. it is everything i love in this type of horror.

  11. Lights Out was cool. I liked that my friend and I kept thinking the bf was gonna die or dip out, but he ends up being the best dude ever ha.
So I watched the first 4 Paranormal Activities. First 3 are all good, 4th one not so much. Gonna watch Marked Ones next, then skip Ghost Dimension and watch Grave Encounters instead.

I still love the lights out dude. I was like eh typical sleezeball at first but he didn't fit the mold and was actually smart and I love his character.

Watched VHS 2 last night. It was alright I guess, some of the shorts landed, some didn't. No better or worse than the first one really. the Safe Haven segment was a standout, cults freak me tf out though.

I liked both of the VHS movies quite a bit (haven't seen Viral).

I think I found the first one a bit scarier, but they're both pretty good. Need to see viral still as well

Going to watch a movie about a killer scarecrow tonight called Husk. Anyone heard of it?

I haven't heard about it until now. Just looked it up. Now I have a movie to watch tonight. Thanks!

I haven't even looked it up, which is weird for me! My roommate just mentioned it and I'm going in blind. Are you going to watch the remake or the original?

Had no idea it was a remake haha. Was planning on watching the 2011 release.

Purge 3 was a good time. Loved seeing Limehouse from Justified kicking ass again. Probably still liked 2 the most. This one felt less like a horror movie. Still some excellent masks

Turns out Husk is the remake and the original is called Scarecrows. We watched the latter last night and it was goofy fun. Did you check out Husk?
