I’ll be very curious but happy if Charli can make that Brat popularity go into an acting career, love her music and she’s worked so hard for years for that success so I hope it keeps going for her.

She's a real film bro, I think it's a great move to make with her newfound fame. She could already do whatever she wanted musically.

Was avoiding the full FD: Bloodlines trailer but then it showed before Sinners last night. Looks like an absolute blast.

Yeah he genuinely seems like a great person. He's always doing stuff like that.

 

Been thinking about Opus just now, which I honestly kinda forgot I even saw. It's not exceptionally profound or completing, nor is it trying to be smarter than it actually is. It's a perfectly fine good time. Sometimes you have to see a movie just to watch the actors having fun with it. Heretic last year similarly didn't stick with me either, but I did have fun with it in the moment. Some movies just aren't gonna leave a lasting impression as strongly as others and it'll vary from person to person and that's perfectly fine

 

But anyway, before I even got to this Opus rant in my head, I was thinking how Kyliegh Curran should be in more stuff. More weird stuff. Like Ayo in Opus, Taylor Russel in Bones and All, Sophie Wilde in Talk to Me, Georgina Campbell in Barbarian, Naomi Ackie in Blink Twice. Kyliegh is great in Doctor Sleep and Usher, I need moar

 

Thought Drop and Death of a Unicorn were both perfectly fun, relatively fine if a bit disappointing, 3/5 star movies. Drop was VERY silly (was the restaurant a pressurized cabin?? why did he get sucked out like that??) and I wish that half of DoaU was lit better/didn't take place at night. It would just hit these lulls where not much would happen and then Will Poulter would rip a line of grated unicorn horn and I'd be right back in, lmao.

 

Walpurgisnacht on The Last Drive-In tomorrow night! Most folks are thinking Psychomania for sure and then maybe Suspiria or Lords of Salem.
