I enjoyed that book even if it wasn’t anything special imo

What are everyone's favorites about the devil/Satan? In the rare mood for that type of horror. Preferably looking for something actually scary. Even contemplating Rosemary's Baby, which I told myself for a long time I just didn't care to see because of the Polanski of it all.

 

Has anyone seen Marshmallow? Or know how soon it hits streaming? Today's the my last chance before it leaves theaters

Have you never seen Rosemary’s Baby? I understand not wanting to - fuck Polanski, obviously - but it does sound like it’s exactly what you’re looking for, and it’s absolutely incredible.

 

I started it, but couldn't get past the marital rape scene knowing who directed it.

Haven't seen it in years but I remember liking Devil

 

I haven't watched it in awhile, but I remember Fallen w/Denzel from the late 90's being pretty good. Constantine w/Keanu is another. Also agree w/Esteban's recs of Baskin, The Dark and The Wicked & The Blackcoat's Daughter

 

I thought I was going insane because I also didn't remember the faces lmao. I think I rewatched that within the past year or two and thought it was still fun, but not exactly a great movie or anything. It was a great date movie to catch in theaters as a high schooler, though.

 

Might pivot from devil stuff to Japanese and Korean horror by prioritizing The Wailing, Cure, and I Saw the Devil. (I'm off tomorrow through Monday for Easter break.)

 

The Wailing is fantastic and I Saw the Devil is very good but also rough. Cure has been on my list for quite some time.

 

The Wailing’s good but I watched it years ago and I still think of it as the longest movie in existence.

 

it's a lot of silly fun, overhated imo

 

This is how I think of Barry Lyndon (have not watched it)
