A few of those "listen"s were very Navi from Ocarina of Time. Feel like that has to be a little easter egg.

Novocaine hits digital on April 8th. Feels horror adjacent enough.

I watched Opus earlier.. it was ok but Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich did their best with what they got

  17. Seriously. I knew they were financially successful, so I guess it's not that surprising, but I guess they're just so off my radar that I never really thought about it. I remember thinking the second one was bad and not looking back, lol. Are any of the sequels worth watching?

Hit or miss on shark movies, but I LOVE The Loved Ones (and remember enjoying The Devil's Candy), so I'm in on this.

I should rewatch The Devil's Candy.

  18. Opus was fun! A lot of the criticism I saw for it is that it mimics a bunch of other "weird things happen at an isolated location" movies, and to be fair, it it basically a 50/50 blend of The Menu and Midsommar beat for beat. But it doesn't try to say anything deep and it's ultimately just a lot of fun to see that cast (especially Malkovich) get to do something weird, so while it isn't groundbreaking or anything, I definitely enjoyed it.

Doesn’t look like the closer theater here is getting Hell of a Summer. Blaming Minecraft for that one

I am looking forward to checking it out, especially with this in mind.

Yeah, Opus is definitely Menu meets Midsommar and I was here for it

  24. I may not have liked the last Conjuring movie, but I wouldn't root against a movie without reason. That being said, reading "phase one" in that context really made my eyes roll. Even original stories wind up as IP-branded content these days.

  25. I say as I prepare to gleefully gobble up any F13 or NOES shit thrown our way lol
