Saw X made $125m on a $13m budget, but apparently, there was infighting between producers that led to the cancellation. How incompetent do you have to be to kneecap yourself like that? Do you hate money?

 

Saw X was genuinely so good for a franchise I don't really care about. Big bummer, but I'm glad they got to make a film that was actually critically successful. Can't imagine it won't be rebooted or revisited in the future, but Tobin Bell is 82, so it will unfortunately likely be without him.

 

What Leprechaun is everyone watching today?

can attest to Final Girl. we've got all of series 2 and 3 (and most of series 1). it's a great solo experience, but even playing with 2 people it can be challenging

 

My S2 Ultimate arrives tomorrow! I actually only discovered the game a couple weekends ago but I’m already deep in it. I have Happy Trails Horrors, North Pole Nightmare, and Frightmare on Maple Street. I’ve only played Happy Trails as I’m not allowing myself to open the others until I’ve won at least a couple of times with each Happy Trails final girl.

 

good call. we've approached it similarly, although we have up on Carnival of Blood and Sacred Groves because they were pretty much unwinnable. North Pole Nightmare is an absolute blast. i think Frightmare on Maple Street is the only one we don't have, but it's been out of stock at our LGS for a bit

Shouldn't be much of a surprise considering he's my favorite director, but I kind of adored The Shrouds. I don't think it will be for everybody -- it's a horror-adjacent mood piece with pretty standard Cronenberg dialogue, spiked with some totally fucked up and bonkers emotional stuff -- but only Cronenberg could make something so beautiful and personal out of such a weird, high-tech, perverse, espionage via body horror flick. Definitely recommend for the freaks in here.

Rewatching Scream 5 for the hundredth time. Idr what my last ranking was but I think 5 has cemented itself as my 2nd favorite.

But now I'm also bummed because I'm gonna miss the core four together. And obviously miss Melissa and Jenna specifically, since they're both just gone now. They'll probably only get some throwaway line saying they moved to Europe or some shit. Fuck Spyglass.
