I've been sucker-punched by the flu this week and was hoping Heretic would hit Max sooner, but I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks!

 

my plan was to blind-buy this in a couple weeks when my next AAA24 credit comes in, but now i'm debating if i should hold off and just watch for the first time on Max

 

I love Heretic so much

I’m watching it right now in part because of this post! Haunt is one of my guiltiest of pleasures so I hope I like this. So far it’s much better than that, haha.

 

Is Haunt a guilty pleasure?? Haha I love that movie!

 

I’m not one to call anything a guilty pleasure unless it’s fast food maybe? lol

 

There's nothing to feel guilty about. That is a fantastic movie.

 

I don’t mean it seriously, obviously there should be no guilt in enjoying things! Just not the type of horror I expected to enjoy at all and it has elements I hate but it’s a seasonal favorite.

Heretic is fun so far. PIE!!!!!

I hear you. I think Hell Fest came out around the same time and I find it to be pretty weak. Haunt just hits all the right notes.

 

I gave Hell Fest 2 tries and I don't care for it at all. It's one of those bad movies imo that should be remade because the concept rules, I just really disliked the execution.

 

I liked Heretic but wasn't blown away by it. definitely looking forward to more Sophie Thatcher though, especially after seeing Companion.

 

I really like Hell Fest, but I'm a total mark for that concept
