Heart Eyes doesnt reinvent the genre or anything but I had fun watching it.

 

Finally saw Smile. Extremely bad writing but I had fun with it. Genuinely hated the ending.

 

Smile 2 is a massive improvement on 1

 

HARD disagree.. but I respect you.

 

Agree on 2 being better but I also really liked Smile

 

Still need to watch 2, but I'm in the not loving the first movie camp. It just didn't do anything for me, it just existed. Smile 2 seemed way more interesting before it came out and I heard the issues people have. Maybe I'll force myself to watch it tonight, like I tell myself every night about every movie I want to watch. lol

 

The second is better but I still really like the first one despite its overreliance on jump scares and unsettling music. It had an emotional story and I think Sosie gave a great performance

 

Smile 2 is vastly better than the original

 

Actually I should do a rewatch before 2. It'd be my first rewatch, so maybe it was just the mood I was in that day or something. I love Kyle, and it's not like I disliked it at all, so a rewatch sounds like a great idea actually.

 

I get that, I was in a really rough headspace when I saw Nosferatu and I don't think it helped my impression. kinda want to revisit but I want some distance from it too

 

This is exactly where I’m at. I really struggle with oldspeak.

 

That's why I don't get people that don't rewatch things, especially if they didn't actually hate it. Your entire mood could've affected that first viewing. You could've been overjoyed that day, so a sad drama didn't really click with you. You could've lost your job the day before you saw the new hit comedy.

TV shows get 3 episodes, movies get at least 2 viewings in my book.

 

Unless it's The Strangers Chapter 1. I won't rewatch that, even before I watch Chapter 2. lmao

 

People should rewatch The Twilight Zone, a truly timeless piece of television.

 

Rewatch… Hell I can’t even bring myself to an initial watch.

 

I do a Twilight Zone rewatch every few years, not counting watching random episodes.

 

Heart Eyes was pretty hammy and silly but still pretty fun. Some decent kills but man mordern slashers really need to change up their third acts and stop using the Scream climax formula

 

Heart Eyes was definitely fun, even with its problems. I saw it tonight.

 

I watched Smile 2. It was definitely better than the first and I had fun with it but thought it was still just pretty okay overall. Some standout scenes, and I loved The Substance-like bit at the end.

 

Excited to see The Monkey tonight.
