Oh shit were wolf man and presence both this weekend? Sick

 

Apparently I’ve been sleeping on Presence. Looks awesome!

 

I think Presence is next weekend actually. I saw an early screening.

 

so if I might ask: was it a case of some little things just not working for you personally or some things that you feel like audiences at large will pick up on?

I say that like you didn’t enjoy it but you obviously did. you just made me a bit nervous is all

 

I don't think you have anything to be nervous about. No glaring plot holes or anything like that, just a couple of threads that I felt weren't fully explored, but the more I think about it, there probably was no reason to go further into those things than they did

 

Until Dawn looks like dumb fun and The Monkey looks like REALLY dumb fun. I'm in

 

Also, my first experience as a horror host gig went great we had over 20 people, which I realized doesn't sound like a lot, but everybody at the bar was there for us and we ran out of chairs. I had a blast and I hope I get to do it again.

 

Wolf Man was quite the disappointment, but I appreciated the nod to Saw.

Just got out of Wolf Man. The first 40 minutes was great. The rest was eh. Not a fan of the wolf man design either. Might be a hot take, but I prefer the 2010 Wolfman over this one

I like 2010 Wolfman more than most, but I can't exactly say it's good lol

 

some movies don't have to be good cos they're fun and the movie where Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins are CGI werewolves is one of those

 

Dead Meat did IAVN, I hope he “gets” it and explains it in a clear way that I can use to simplify my feelings

 

Yeah this is good so far. Gotta pick up the BD for the doc

 

I wish he defending the ending a bit more - the final speech is very clearly a metaphor for the killer being a wild animal. It adds the extra sting to the final girl being forever traumatized by something that has no interest harming her again.

 

I watched Wolf Man earlier on and their was 7 people in one of the smaller screening rooms I was in but the film was more of a body horror film than I thought it would be but the performances by the 3 main cast members were excellent and liked the practical effects, gore and make up as well

 

I am watching Dream Stalker right now. I love it so much. A must buy during the next Terror Vision sale. SOV NOES rip off that’s got great effects. The bad guy’s name is Ricky Fries and he’s a dead BMX biker

 

So who the fuck is ready for Nosferatuesday tomorrow?

I will probably be rewatching it as soon as I get a copy.

 

I really enjoyed Wolf Man despite it being pretty much a way less substantial version of The Fly. It's about as dumb and fun as a movie setting up an amusement park thing should be. Thought the cast and sound design were great.

 

I just watched The Front Room and man… what the hell lol
