    Let it run Supporter

I leaned up to grab my beer in the first 30 seconds, froze and said “what the fuck” out loud.
    Edit:

    That just happened again

  3. Winterbeast is the most incompetently made film I've ever seen. I love it.

Fear Street was pretty fun. I will say one of the kills was very unexpected and gory, got me good.

    soundtrack was pretty great.

visually it’s pretty modern and Netflixy though.

Fear Street is great teen horror! Reminded me of stuff like Valentine and Urban Legend that got me in to horror as a kid. With these being so readily available I hope it becomes a entry point for the next generation of horror fans!

Finished Winterbeast tonight. Parts had me totally zoned out, but then some crazy shit would happen and have me slack jawed for minutes. Would make for a good party movie to check in on in between conversation

It’s definitely going to be a formative movie for an entire generation. I couldn’t have imagine having this movie growing up with the unapologetic queer lead and focus on their relation. Fear Street was pure energy from the beginning with no need to be bogged down with explanation. The cast and soundtrack were great. As someone who grew up loving RL Stine, I loved seeing the lore thrown in and can’t wait to see what I missed.

  9. +1 for Fear Street. Just finished it. It was a lot of fun.

Loved The Beach House. They really did a good job with whatever budget they had. Sometimes less is more, and the movie was a perfect example of that.

The Forever Purge was alright. I would probably rank it third best purge release.

Anarchy > Election Year > Forever Purge > First Purge > Purge

Came here to say the same thing. After the last 3 being very similar, it was nice to have a change of setting. Very very on the nose politically, but also so are the rest of them

  15. Might save Fear Street for Friday at this point so I can double feature the first two

Fear Street 1994 was a lot of fun. I was glad they didn’t skimp on the gore and it’ll be cool to see the story continue on.

Thinking about doing the same thing. Or wait until the following week and watch all 3 in one weekend if I can fit it in.

Probably will do the first Fear Street tonight.

Watched Spookies and Dead and Buried from TLDI this weekend as well as The Amusement Park. Spookies was bonkers and so much fun while Dead and Buried reminded me of a bad John Carpenter movie but I still liked it. Sad to see Grandpa Joe in his last acting role ever, especially knowing he had cancer during the filming. The Amusement Park was very interesting and I'm glad it was recovered and made available. A unique commentary on growing old and how the elderly were treated/perceived in Romero's day. No subtlety with this one but it's short and definitely worth the watch.

  19. I watched Hunted this weekend. It was entertaining, but I wouldn't say it's great.

finally caught Freaky this weekend, what a fun movie

was kinda hoping for a darker twist at the end where the swap back didn't work

  21. Doing The Amusement Park for the podcast this week, Amityville Horror commentary with Gourley and Rust, and Werewolves Within at some point. Also didn't realize Arachnophobia was on Hulu, that should be fun to revisit. Haven't seen it since I was a kid.

Watched Vicious Fun on Shudder yesterday, it was quite fun and a couple performances are very entertaining.
    Definitely worth a watch.
