  1. H20 is just bland. Feels like a subpar Scream movie dressed up as a Halloween flick. I really don't get the love for it outside of 1) nostalgia, which I don't have and 2) it not being outright bad, which is part of the reason I find Resurrection fun

I prefer H20 to Resurrection but I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch either of those movies.

At least we can all agree that Skinamarink is a better film than Halloween H20

  9. i don't "like' skinamarink but it was the only movie recently that's scared me, like turn the lights on at night when you're home alone kind of scared

  10. I fear Skinamarink probably won’t work for me twice, so I’ve never gone back. But it really messed with me that first time. Its only real sin in my eyes is being probably 15-20 minutes too long, but regardless I get why it doesn’t really hit for a lot of folks. I’m thankful that enough people liked it that KEB didn’t go straight to director jail

My only beef with Aaron albeit minor is his dislike of New Nightmare.

  12. Rewatching this tonight or tomorrow night so I will report back on whether this has changed. I love the premise, so I want to like it.

We always do Trick R Treat on Halloween evening but I’d also like to do WNUF and Ghostwatch as well

Definitely need to knock out Cobweb and Trick r Treat rewatches this week, maybe even on Halloween.

Don’t Move was okay, had its moments, but it really just made me want to rewatch Alone (2020).

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

H20 rules and you don't need nostalgia goggles to think so. I only watched it for the first time maybe 2 years ago and I loved it

Yeah I really like H20 beyond nostalgia I think. It is a strong nostalgia for me as it was the first Halloween movie I could watch and not be scared of it as I grew up terrified of Michael Myers lol…but the movie itself is good. I will agree that the kills themselves are a bit…idk, boring? Formulaic? But you do get the gnarly leg thing, and the opener in the small town that looks identifcal to hadodnfield and Loomis’ nurse and JGL taking the skate to the face is also a good touch. But overall I enjoyed this version of Laurie, somewhere between near helpless babysitter of 1978 and hardened pepper badass of 2018
