  1. rewatched Immaculate, love it. caught some early foreshadowing this time around that made the ending tonal shift feel less jarring. Sydney Sweeney fucking rocks

You can also just buy the movie for $5 more. Usually when watching new movies on VOD I’ll just fork up the extra $5 to own it. $25 is still cheaper than I’d spend going to the movies and I don’t have to deal with morons.

As much as I love Aliens, I still think Alien is my favorite. It feels more like a horror movie where Aliens is more Sci-Fi.

This is why I don’t think there’s a wrong answer. They’re both my favorites because they’re basically completely different vibes.

Also, those outer space shots as well as pan shots were a direct homage to Star Wars.

  6. I have bad luck being blamed for things I'm not doing at the movies, lol. At Meg 2, some lady leaned forward and said "If you check your phone again, I'm going to get the manager." I don't know what she was seeing, because it certainly wasn't me lol. Same thing happened when I was a kid seeing Prisoner of Azkaban with my parents. A lady behind us accused me of throwing popcorn backwards at her. I didn't even have popcorn!

  7. Also, AGGRO DR1FT isn't a horror movie -- hell, it's barely even a movie -- but it absolutely has some Mandy vibes going for it, lol. The dialogue and performances are intentionally insane and not good but it literally has some of the sickest looking shit I've ever seen in a movie and I kind of can't stop thinking about it. Just let Korine make a video game already

  10. Interesting. A lot of newer possession-based horror doesn't do it for me, but Wolf Creek rocks!

why I haven’t watched it lol

    I’ve seen very similar sentiments

  15. I feel like it's a pretty effective and visceral blend of true crime and horror honestly, one of the better films to come out of that period

I think I've never watched it because I was under the impression it was similar in tone to Hostel. Is that accurate? Not into hostel-like films. Willing to give it a go if wrong.

I remember watching WC and then High Tension(a favorite) after that so maybe my viewing was skewed.

I’d argue the last one you mentioned is very different than the rest in many ways

  22. Closer in tone to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Not really torture porn, more like a bleak "trying to escape a serial killer" flick

OK perfect, thanks for the explanation. I'm OK with that but avoid torture porn. just don't find that stuff interesting.

  24. also almost considering not seeing Blink Twice (potential spoilers?) but I guess that's more of a I Spit on Your Grave or Irreversible type situation

  25. I don't know what happens in Strange Darling or Blink Twice and I'm trying to keep it that way until I can see them
