I watched immaculate last night. And yeah the last 30 minutes was wild. I think the first Omen edges it out for me just because I thought it was so visually stunning, but if I could combine visuals of the first Omen with the last half hour of immaculate that would be like the perfect movie

 

I still have some catching up to do but so far this year I really loved In a Violent Nature and Lisa Frankenstein. Abigail was fun. Maxxxine was a bit of a miss for me.

 

Finally watched Hauntedween this weekend. Pretty great, '80s frat comedy plus Halloween slasher ripoff that goes a little harder than you'd think.

Fully support that decision, Lisa Frankenstein was great!

 

Lisa Frankenstein was so meh for me its interesting seeing it so high on peoples list.

 

Lisa Frankenstein ruled and hopefully will become a new classic that shapes the tastes of youngsters like Heathers and Edward Scissorhands did for other generations.

 

I'll need to think over a favorite list as of yet, but my favorite two movies this year in general are I Saw the TV Glow and Bottoms.

In a Violent Nature and Late Night with the Devil are my favorites of the year so far. otherwise I haven’t seen it or didn’t think all that much of it to mention

 

My favourite horror films of the year so far are Abigail, Lisa Frankenstein, Longlegs, Maxxxine and In A Violent Nature

 

Love a slowburn myself. Just really dug the stop motion itself and I'm a big fan of the character spiraling into madness trope lol

 

Lisa Frankenstein will be in my top 10 I think. Don't wanna reveal anything until the end of the year (not like it matters at all lol)

 

Hmm might have to give Lisa a shot now.

 

Lisa is just so fun. If you like 90s Tim Burton stuff (or Heathers as mentioned), you're gonna gave a great time with it

 

Lisa Frankenstein just feels like it's going to be a cult classic in a few years. Didn't do too well, reception was mid, but a lot of people really loved it and are freaks about it. That's the cult classic recipe.

I wish Humanist Vampire was streaming, I think it just went to digital. Highly recommend it, great mix of comedy / coming of age / fun vampire stuff.

 

I really wanna watch Humanist. Seeing it get rec’d here and the trailer was amusing

 

I gotta be honest, I don’t even think I’ve heard of it! I should find a trailer

 

I'm not sure where it released, but I've had a copy since December. Just some info that may be helpful to anyone trying to watch.
